Your article hit me from several points. My last two jobs have fallen into the categories of which you speak. The first centered around a highly sexual energy in the workplace, one in which I was caught up for the first few years. The office was mainly male, so when I joined as a young attractive female, the heat turned up. Having been a stay at home mom for some time, I found myself enjoying the compliments, joining in the jokes, talking about my own personal "stuff." However, after the newness wore off, the sexual conversations spiraled out of control, and I was the one left standing to take the hits when it all unraveled. This atmosphere was promoted (through behaviors and comments) from the owner, through the male management staff and on down. Sadly, the fingers pointed in my direction when it became clear it was out of control. Suddenly, the female persuasion was the "evil amongst us."

I'm disappointed to say I didn't opt for number four in this situation. Instead, I became a shell of myself and sank into a place of darkness. I had loved my job prior to this and couldn't even begin to consider what would be in store for me if I left. I believe in a force higher than this physical world and feel certain that this force finally propelled me in a different direction - in fact, to the opposite corner of the country! Since then, I have reevaluated my values and begun to live a life centered around my truth instead of my appearance.

The second job was more of the boss who expected me to do things that were borderline illegal and therefore immoral. He was a control freak, a spin doctor, and he expected me to follow his every order to a T. Having just come out of the above situation, this time it took only a few short months to realize I needed to get out. The sign came with the image and sound of a woman screaming out in my head. Hard to ignore that!

Anyway, to anyone out there who struggles with these issues, you must know that getting out of the situation is most always the best option for you. Until we make such a choice, we become consumed by the negative energy that surrounds us and causes us to forget what we value in this lifetime.

Blessings to all,
Sunergy
