As the head of their accountant department they entrusted me to purchase the only PC on the market at the time - manufactured by IBM and using the then brand new operating system MS-DOS. It was also my responsibility to find, purchase and install a software program that would handle the every day bookkeeping for this firm. And this was the start of my love affair with accounting software.

There are two ways to use my training services - by telephone consulting or in person training.
By Telephone: Minimum Fee: $35.00 per half hour
When you call you will be asked for your credit card information at which time you will be charged the minimum fee of $35.00. Should your call exceed an half hour additional fees will be applicable and will be prorated in 15 minute increments.
Your telephone training session will included a printed out guide outlining the issues and the steps followed during the training session, sent to you by email within twenty-fours hours of the completed training session.
In Person: Hourly Rate: $75.00 with a minimum of one hour charged.
In Person Training takes place at your business and is a one on one personal session that is customized to your individual needs. I will use a sample company database as well as your company’s QuickBooks company file for demonstration so you may see how your new knowledge will be used in your everyday work flow.
All on site training and consulting located within 50 miles of Portland, Maine will require a Deposit by credit card of the minimum of $75.00 for the first hour.
All on site training beyond 50 miles but less than 100 miles of Portland, Maine will require a Deposit by credit card for the minimum charge of 1/2 day of $375.
Travel time but not expenses is included in this charge.
All on site training beyond 100 miles of Portland, Maine or out of the state will require a Deposit by credit card for the minimum charge of 1 day of $750.
All airline, hotel, car rental fees, conference room rental and equipment will be the client’s responsibility and will be billed
and paid for in advance or arranged at the clients expense.
For our client’s convenience we accept MasterCard,Visa and Discover credit cards.
All Deposits are non-refundable unless canceled by the provider (D. L. MacMillan). Training sessions can be rescheduled by the client providing a written notification is provided to D. L. MacMillan seventy-two hours prior to the commencement of the training session. This notice can be delivered by email, however D. L. MacMillan takes no responsibility for undelivered email. I will respond with a confirmation of the reschedule request within twenty-four hours of the receipt of the request. Should you not receive this confirmation you should call me at (207) 221-0396 to ascertain your request has been received.
